Corporate Counsel - Consumer/Commercial
Join us in our fight for fair with your challenger mindset and provide pragmatic legal services to a range of business units, with a focus on Consumer and Retail. You'll join a dedicated legal team with plenty of experience under their belt, who will support and guide you as you develop your legal career in-house at 2degrees.
Here's what you'll do in this job:
- Deliver timely and pragmatic commercial legal services that enable the delivery of business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in our fight for fair for New Zealand consumers.
- Review marketing collateral and negotiate an array of contractual arrangements, including sales, distribution & sponsorship agreements and supply arrangements including "as a service" offerings.
- Support strategically important procurement efforts & vendor selections.
- Take initiative and bring value to projects from a legal and commercial perspective.

As a qualified solicitor, you are likely to have at least 12 months' PQE with experience in the following practice areas beneficial: consumer law (Fair Trading Act, Consumer Guarantees Act, & Privacy Act), sales & distribution, property, IP and corporate law. A natural self-starter, you will quickly establish and maintain strong relationships with internal business stakeholders with your outstanding communication, negotiation and drafting skills.
