We are looking for a Legal Advisor to assist our Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic and legally sound advice to Council Officers. You will be the first point of contact for staff who wish to seek legal advice, and work with our Legal Counsel to facilitate access to internal and external counsel as appropriate. Along with providing legal advice, you will also be responsible for administering legal compliance matters.

In order to succeed in this role, you will have experience investigating and analysing legal information with an aptitude for process and attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a team environment and have a high degree of integrity. Maintaining confidence, especially when dealing with sensitive and confidential information is also essential.

Ideally you will have 2+ year’s experience as an in-house lawyer or worked in a legal firm or local authority. You will also have a law degree.
