About the role

Be part of a highly regarded inhouse team in a publicly listed business that is proud to do things differently. Our client is seeking a switched on commercially savvy lawyer to join their team.

You will report to the Chief Risk Officer and work with stakeholders across the business on a wide range of day-to-day operational issues and project work. With no two days the same, you’ll draft, review and negotiate all types of contracts, advise on legal and regulatory changes, review new product development, assist with pitches for new business, ensure compliance and advise on disputes.

What we’re looking for

· 3 to 10 years’ PQE of corporate commercial experience in private practice with inhouse experience an advantage.

· Financial services experience or strong commercial contracts experience is preferable.

· Strong technical legal skills with excellent drafting and analytical skills.

· An articulate communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills who enjoys engaging with people at all levels.

· Pragmatic, proactive and a fast learner who is adaptable and capable of exercising good judgment.

· Able to work autonomously to a high standard but also as part of a supportive team.
